Jan. 21, 2012 - California State High School Indoor Track & Field Championships, Fresno Save Mart Center, Fresno State University, Fresno, Ca. Roo Rat alum Savannah Camacho sporting her SLDC singlet ran both qualifying and Indoor meets in fantastic early season times. Savannah ran a 2:14.66 and was the fastest qualifier out of the 10 Indoor Meet qualifying meets held. At the Indoor meet, Savannah burst into an early lead that she did not relinquish to place 1st, break her own Meet Record of 2:16.91 by almost five seconds, Set a Youth Team Record and ran to a #3 U.S. National High School Indoor mark. Jan. 21, 2012 - Run For The Dream Youth Indoor Track & Field Invitational, Fresno Save Mart Center, Fresno State University, Fresno, Ca. - Making her 3rd appearance at this meet, Talley Hill did not disappoint. Talley came from last place at the start of the Youth Girls 800m Dash to win in Meet Record time and Set a 7th Grade 'Roo Rat Record. In the Intermediate Girls 800m Dash, Veronica Russell also ran well to place 2nd. The mile races had some exciting action with Talley Hill once again running from behind to place 3rd and Set a 7th Grade 'Roo Rat Record. Zac Brown had to run in a combined Youth and Intermediate mile race but managed to run to a PR and place 5th within his age group. In the Intermediate Girls Mile race Veronica Russell ran a smart race to press the pace to a win and a New Meet Record, and Set a Youth Team Record in a stunning early season time.
